Sheikh Saud Al-Shuraim at His Farm in Al-Hada, Ta’if

Former Imam and Khateeb of Masjid Al-Haram, Sheikh Saud Al-Shuraim, was recently visited by a number of guests at his private farm in Al-Hada, Ta’if.

Among the refreshments served to the guests was fresh camel milk, which Sheikh Saud Al-Shuraim had milked himself earlier that day. Each guest was served their own bowl of camel milk, adding a simple and traditional touch to the gathering.

During the gathering, former Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Binten, asked Sheikh Al-Shuraim about reports concerning camel urine and its use in relation to certain illnesses. Sheikh Al-Shuraim shared several accounts and personal observations regarding people whom he said he had witnessed experiencing improvement or healing. He also mentioned cases involving serious infections, including gangrene that had resulted in the amputation of a finger, and spoke about cases where pure honey was used and recovery was achieved. He concluded by expressing gratitude to Allah for these outcomes.

The evening also reflected the simplicity of life at the farm. From time to time, Sheikh Saud Al-Shuraim would personally get up with a blower and add prepared pieces of firewood to the embers in the centre of the gathering, keeping the fire burning.

He spoke about the way the firewood behaves after Maghrib, explaining that the wood ignites quickly during the earlier part of the evening, requiring additional pieces at short intervals. As the night progresses, however, the ignition becomes slower, particularly around 11 PM, unlike the period shortly after Maghrib.

Before the guests departed, Sheikh Saud Al-Shuraim generously gifted them fresh produce from his private farm. Each guest received enough pomegranates and figs for himself and his family, and perhaps even some to share with neighbours.

The gathering offered a glimpse into a simple and generous side of Sheikh Saud Al-Shuraim's life away from the sacred precincts of Masjid Al-Haram.
